AC Shadows Unveils Surprising Attack on Titan Crossover for Holiday Season
In a surprising collaboration that challenges usual forecasts, the game developer has announced an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Revealed
According to the official statement, "A mysterious meeting draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where whispers of forbidden practices and monstrous transformations resonate through the shadows." The plot presents a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who charges the pair with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret group.
The mission focuses on "bizarre experiments and a monstrous foe" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Changes
The teaser features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a powerful moment showing a character, presumably the captive, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Rewards and Extra Features
Players who accomplish the quest will obtain an special katana alongside multiple artifacts secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
