Barcelona Ready for First Match at Partially Completed Camp Nou over the weekend

Barcelona have announced they will play at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish league over two years since relocating for construction to commence.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity but 45,401 spectators will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. After final construction, the Camp Nou is due to hold close to 105,000 fans, a rise from the old capacity. The club said recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.

Stadium Testing

The club conducted a public practice inside the stadium earlier this month. Officials stated approval is being pursued by UEFA to host the next European match against Eintracht Frankfurt on 9 December at Camp Nou. Their recent games have been held in the temporary ground.
